During his teenage years, Mark was plagued by bad taste in clothing inflicted upon him by his well-intentioned mother, Virginia.

He finally broke free at the age of 16, and started buying his own clothes.

It took many battles before his parents consented to him growing his hair longer, something he has never recovered from! He still has long hair as a result of those traumatic times.
